Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics Certificate with Master's Degree

Part of the Department of Developmental Dentistry

We offer a 35-month residency for advanced training in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics. This program is designed to offer a broad spectrum of clinical, didactic, research and teaching experience in the field. The emphasis of the program is placed on strong clinical and scholarly skills. Our orthodontic residency program meets the formal requirements for eligibility to take the Phase II and Phase III portions of the American Board of Orthodontics.

Lane Shafer, DMD

"As a provider, I have two goals every day: to improve myself by learning something new and to positively impact someone else. The academic and clinical opportunities in the orthodontic program allow me to do both — and instill the confidence to create beautiful smiles as a future orthodontist."
